When I think about cults and cult leaders and alleged “strong men” my main thought is why do people think they know so much? When it comes to a supernatural creator and the universe and souls and life and death, the only thing we know for 100% certain as humans is that we don’t know shit. And these men only have confidence in their delusions usually fueled by a desire to control others and gain power. They actually don’t fucking know anything more than the rest of us. They are just confident in their delusions. And the majority of humans at some point are looking for something to latch on to that quiets the existential dread. And we’re willing to allow ourselves to be delusional to the point of putting faith and trust in bad actors to feel an always false sense of safety and security. And then we allow our world to be destroyed, our freedoms to be stripped and the freedoms of others to be stripped so we can feel like our fucking delusions are real. Fuck you and your fucking delusions. Don’t force me into your fucking cage because you can’t handle the terror of the unknown. You shouldn’t get to fuck over everyone else’s liberities so you can fucking sleep at night in your goodie goodie blood bathed religious fever dream.
