NEW ALBUM!
god, just these shitty fucking distributors are singlehandedly making me consider quitting music.
don’t use amuse.io. they’re free because they’re shitty. i tried to up three albums. they changed the title of one of them and then sent me an email saying i needed to change my album art because the title was different from it. no shit! because they changed it! they straight-up deleted the second album. the last one i never saw completed, as i dropped the service like a hot potato after zero response to my messages.
don’t use distrokid, at least not for remixes. they will declare that your remix is unpublishable as explicit consent from the original artist has not been provided. do not be fooled, though: they will continue to give you the exact same treatment and/or the cold shoulder if said consent is provided. supposedly they answer support emails quickly, but it’s been over a month with no response.
cdbaby’s original founder extolls the virtues of distrokid over cdbaby, so don’t go with cdbaby.
tunecore is a shitty overpriced scam, this is known. their entire business model is to crank as much money out of you as they can and then pay for cool ads on soundcloud so they can trick more people into joining them. its founder has said the same thing about distrokid.
