This is the pilot for my au called: The Age of Darkness (aodau)!
The basic premise of the au is that the world is in an eternal night and because of this, skulk creatures came up from the ancient city to the overworld. It became too dangerous to stay in the cities as they were now infested with skulk, so people evacuated them and went to live in camps in the forests, mountains, and beaches outside.
There are three main camps: Moonview (forest), Ridge Top (mountains), and Shore Reef (beach). There are also several smaller camps to the west for people who didn’t want to live in the big camps or because there wasn’t enough room for them.
In each camp (main camps) there are hunters who hunt for food outside the walls of the camps as well as protect the people from any skulk creatures.
In my au, there are more than just wardens. There all different kinds of skulk creatures, some can fly, some can swim, and some are really good climbers. There are some the are as strong as the wardens, but most are a lot weaker.
Because skulk creatures are weak to light, there have been several inventions to keep them at bay. Beacons are used at the camps to stop them from attacking people in them. However, the beacons sometimes don’t shine as bright as other days. Hunters often carry fireworks or objects that have fireworks (like firework arrows). They have also found guns and tearing them apart work as well.
The people in this au are all the life series members as well as Doc, Cub, and Zed. The three people we see at the start are: Scar, Gem, and Pearl. There is shipping in the au but it’s not extreme or the main focus. I think most people are pretty chill with shipping but I will put warnings for parts that contain it (not all parts have shipping).
The au will be a comic that I will post here on my tumblr. It’s been stuck in my head ever since I came up with the idea and now it won’t leave 🙃.
