“I stopped caring about myself a long time ( ago )”
{ apocryfa }
”Have you ever had coffee so strong you could feel your heartbeat in your eyeballs?” eric glanced over his shoulder towards harlow, expecting some sort of laughter. she was every bit as twisted as he was, so random words became natural between the two. the man tried to fight off laughter, but let out a small chuckle in his own amusement. surprisingly calm, the heart of the dauntless had been the only jittery part of his body.
Harlow watched the leader with a hint of humor in her eye, it was only very rarely she saw him like this, each time she just brushed it off and continued her day. This was different, she too lived off of coffee.
"Are you alright?"
She bit back the urge to laugh at him, but the wheel power to do so was growing short.
'' So were you a transfer too or Dauntless born?'' Hazel eyes met the other's for a split second before looking back at the table. Allison regretted asking him immediately. She just couldn't get why they all had to be so harsh all the time. She'd spent exactly two hours in the pit and they were dreadful & tiring. She wasn't someone who could make friends just like that and she was getting tired of being quiet and observing the others.

( an uncontrollable amount of laughter.)
” you’re something else.”
"I'm not sure if you're being serious or a jerk."

It hadn’t been the first time Tabby had been moved around. Lack of stability seemed to be her lot in life. Ironically, a lack of familiarity mixed with uncertainty was the state of being that was the most familiar to the girl. Though there was no denying that Dauntless had been for her, Tabby hadn’t felt ‘right’ since her initiation. There had been moments she enjoyed in the two years she’d spent amongst the others but the finality she was hoping for hadn’t kicked in. Nothing felt permanent.
She was being reassigned due to her flair for explosives, or at least, that was what she was told. Tabby knew that her superior had grown tired of her. Something about, ‘impulsivity that should have been beaten out during training’. Little did they know that her parents had tried that method for years. It hadn’t worked then and it wouldn’t work in the future.
Her orders were to report to ‘that one dickhead,’ or as others referred to him, ‘Eric’. They hadn’t spent much time together over the previous two years but she knew who he was. She knew that he took the whole, brave hard-ass thing to an extreme. It didn’t fill her with excitement. In actuality, it stalled her feet as she walked to meet him. About halfway to their meeting point, Tabby realized that being late wasn’t going to sit well with Eric. She didn’t care if she got on his good side – if he had one – but, she didn’t want to be on his bad side either. Though, the blonde wasn’t sure if Eric had anything other than a bad side.
The mid walk hurry hadn’t done much good. She wasn’t early, but she hoped she wasn’t too late.
