It’s almost been a week since the last episode of Arrow aired and I just want to say how much this show has impacted my life. Now I won’t lie, I started watching Arrow last year and that was after I was introduced to The Flash and binged that first.

I binged Arrow over the summer and I’m glad I did because it’s amazing. Stephen Amell, you helped make an amazing idea a phenomenal show that led into 4 other incredible shows with more to come in the future. You portrayed Oliver Queen so well I would sometimes forget that you yourself are not Oliver, but that just goes to show how talented of an actor you are.

I’m so sad to have joined the Arrowverse fandom late but I’m glad I got to enjoy Arrow while it was still airing new episodes, even if it was only the last 10 episodes. I guess what I’m trying to say is that I am forever greatful for the 8 seasons of Arrow and I can’t wait to see what lies ahead for the future of the Arrowverse.

Arrowverse friends!

2017 has been such a fun year with all of you! Even though I joined the fandom over two years ago, I think I’ve been more active this year than I have since those first few months since I started writing. I’m so grateful for the interactions I’ve had with all of you, even if it’s just been the pleasure of enjoying your fics and seeing your artwork, snorting to myself while I read your hilarious specs, or feeling all warm and fuzzy when I see you leaving nice comments and spreading some love.  

Seriously, for any hate that I’ve noticed come across my dash, I’ve seen it combated ten-fold in kindness. I’ve watched you guys shut down bullies, make the coolest friendships, the most amazing fundraisers, some insanely creative artwork and fanfiction, and support each other on personal levels that go so far beyond a mutual interest in TV shows.

We’re so lucky to have wonderful, powerful actors and actresses portraying our heroes in this fandom, but you people are honestly some of the nicest internet babes I’ve ever met and I feel very lucky to be a part of this thing.

What was your favorite fandom moment of 2017?

It isn't a big particular moment. It's more like many small ones. During this year my old friendships grew and I made many new ones that I hope will continue growing too next year. It's wonderful to see how many lovely and supportive people are in this fandom and I'm lucky to call them my friends

Whatever your ships may be, what was your favorite moment for them?

I have 2 main otps so I'm talking only about them because if I include the minor ships I'd never end, so for each otp I have 3 moments (sorry I can't narrow it down)

For OLICITY I have …

Episode 5x20 (and no, I'm not talking about the flashback sex, although it was great to see that) I'm referring to it was then when finally we got the first definitive steps for them to go back together. It was glorious!

Then, only 3 episodes later, the "just in case" kiss.

And last, and definitely not least, the conclusion of that walk back to each other when THEY GOT MARRIED!!!!! 

Now for KARAMEL I have…

When I got on board of that ship, that coincidentally was about the same time when they got together in 2x13. The thing is that when the season 2 started, I wasn't into the show. At all. I've had seen some episodes of season 1 and it disappointed me, so it wasn't in my priority shows to watch. But when the musical crossover with the flash came closer, I decided to binge-watch season 2… and I realized my mistake of waiting so long to watch it. I think I've never ship a pairing so fast before. Karamel is way too adorable!

The next moment of them is painful as hell. Saying goodbye in the finale of season 2. Why did they had to break my heart that way? I'm still not over that

And a bittersweet, very emotional moment when Kara discovers Mon-El in the ship in 3x07. That was so raw. I admit it, I cried when she hugged him

Who has been your favorite Arrowverse character in 2017?

I think I'm stepping out of the usual response here, and I'm going to say Mick Rory/Heatwave. Anyone who says something against him has to fight me. I cannot tell you how much he makes me laugh. He's an amazing character. Flowed but with a few very few amazing virtues. He's a delight to watch.

What was your favorite artwork that you’ve seen this year in fandom?

Aww  soooo many artist out there. But I'd ungrateful if I didn't mention first the kindest of all @magda1102 who has gone waaaaaaaaayyyyyy beyond with me and my partner in crime @tdgal1 gifting us over and over and over again her creations for TYBA. She's amazing, even when sometimes she thinks she's not. But I cannot forget mentioning @cherchersketch and her Lil justice series. It's the most adorable episode recaps of Arrow I've ever seen!! Every time I see something by @laurabelle2930 or @mel-loves-all I'm amazed by their talent. I'm truly in awe for everything they do.

If you create fanart, what artwork are you most proud of and why?

Gifsets counts? Because that's all I can do. Any other type of graphic art is beyond me, that's why I admire so much those who I mentioned above. Anyway… I'm not the most prolific in this department, but once in a while I post gifsets with song lyrics that are perfect for my otps

What was your favorite fic that you read in 2017?

Seriously?? Why to ask me that? That is an impossible task! I'm just going to mention some of my fave authors. If you write fanfiction, what fic are you most proud of and why?

Definitely, of the few I've written this year, the one I'm most proud is Take Your Breath Away, co-written with my soul sister @tdgal1. Not to brag but it's a really great story. I think Carol and I have done an excellent job taking 2 themes that usually are not the first choice among the readers like murder and BDSM, and make them compelling enough for everyone wanting more and coming back chapter after chapter. Working with Carol is easy and wonderful. I've been lucky to make our partnership. I think is the most assertive thing I did this year.

What was the best comment you’ve received this year on your work and who wrote it?

Oh I love all the comments I receive (except the rude ones, of course), I don't care if they're a 5-mile long and very detailed like the ones @magda1102 leaves in every chapter, or if they're just 3-5 words long. A simple "good job" makes my day. I love the faithful readers that comment all the time and I missed them when they don't, but also love the new readers that come across the story long after it's finished or it's far ahead in the plot. Getting that  excitement for the new discovery always revives my muse to keep going. It's wonderful!
