Fourth pass, this time with sound. I am really happy with how well things synced as I was editing. A lot of this lies in the fact that my talent has very good timing. My main voice actor is my cousin Mitch, and when we were recording, I was playing one of the rough cuts for him, and he matched time with the characters on the screen.
I was also fortunate to come across a free song that fit the tone and actions of the sequence very well. I think that it adds nicely to the piece.
Last minute edits will include:
adding tertiary noises like rustling leaves and maybe a metal squeak for the bird feeder
color corrections
editing the sound a little bit further
slowing down the credits and making sure that everything fits within the safety guides
“Super Squirrel”:
Made with Foam Magic Clay, peat moss, tissue paper, a bird feeder, pipe-cleaners, gauge wire, vine wire, popsicle sticks and many potted plants.
Shot with a Canon Rebel Ti4, edited in Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro CC 2015

Squirrel & Bird are voiced by Mitch Joy

Additional SFX are from Sound Bible.
A rough first pass on my animatic. Will be bringing them into Storyboard Pro to complete the rest of the Animatic.
There is a lot more to this project planned; I just wanted to get the first ideas down.
BW Rotoscope
Went through and re-colored it into B&W. This piece is one component of a larger class piece. We took the idea from the opening of Dirty Dancing, and recorded everyone doing a dance between two points. We will be editing all the pieces together so that we have one uniform sequence (but made up of different art styles), of us dancing to Cupid Shuffle.
I lobbied hard for different colors for each artist, but I guess black is classic.
