Character Study #3 "RAGE"
This is a drawing. The idea was to form a being out of little particles that happen to be shapes. Circles, squares, triangles that kind of shit. When I step back to look at it now... kinda reminds me of those movies when the father and son are laying down on the grass, looking up at the stars. Kid says "hey! its a gorilla. This was a style I thought I wanted to really work on at the time, something I thought I could make my own and make something new... today not so much. It will be a little short story to tell one day, that this Gorilla drawing was made from my first ever kinda but not really art series "The strangest thing happend" im pretty sure that's what I called it. It was a collection of work that I did over past 2 years 2016 and 2017. It was just an excuse to try different things at the time, strange things, and so I did. I had my 1st art show at some point, late 2017 i think or early 2018. It was with a music label called prototype music, I know what your thinkin... Music label!?? Yea I know it doesnt make alot of sence but it did at the time and I was excited. I went to that art show at that music festival they had, and the scary part is that might have been the worst experience I've ever had in life... maybe im exaggerating... it wasnt good. When I was there it really did feel like they just wanted me there to fill up space, I'll mever forget when I was there, the lady in charge came up to me asked if I had the money I got from people buying there tickets, I gave it to her, she said thank you and left... that was THE last time I ever heard from her and that label after that, ever. It's probably no shock to you that I never plan on ever reaching out to those people ever again in life. I looked at that drawing of the Gorilla again and rememberd that shit. The ape still gives me this sort of nostalgia, that immersiveness. That inner rage, its pretty cool. Still I dont think I'll go back to that style of drawing anytime soon or maybe I will. Oh and this image is a print by the way, ive got the original drawing probably hidden somewhere in this batcave.
