[+94] Aespa will be put in a bad position if their next album doesn't hit daebak. She had to break up for the sake of future earning potential. Non-fans can talk all they want about how idols should be allowed to date, but 80% of idol income is derived from the fans who don't want them to date. Obviously if you have an opportunity to make millions before you hit 30 on the condition of no dating VS dating all you want but making average money, wouldn't you obviously pick the former? ㅋㅋ
This comment really sums up idols and their ability to date in the industry. It really doesn't matter what you or I think about if idols should be able to date. We aren't the ones spending hundreds of dollars on these groups. You might think fans are delusional, but delusional brings in money. These companies want the fans that are gonna spend endless money on their favorite idol group. They aren't trying to target the normal minded people, who aren't obsessive.
Asepa had a lot of success right after debut. So much so that I think people forgot they are a rookie group. I think it's extremely dangerous to be focused on dating, while in a rookie group. You should be focused on trying to break records and make sure you have longevity. A big part of that is fans and if your fans leave, you will struggle.
