A Short Synopsis
Everyone is the protaganist of their story. Throughout the volumes, several different stories will be told, following several different characters in different parts of the Vennadore world. The start of the series follows a young woman, Eponia, and her struggle for freedom and truth for herself. After she is sent to the markets in Tornbury, she is confronted by strangers asking her questions about her dead mother. Not knowing the answers, she is kidnapped and sold into slavery on a pirate ship known as The Temptress.
Throughout her journeys, she encounters several different groups of people on the ship and relies on the allies she makes to make her big escape and return to her mundane life on the farm. Or will fate get in the way of her plans?
