[Looking down at the boy lying on the table, Matthew lets out a string of curses. Three hours trying to save him, and it had all been for nothing. The kid couldn't have been older than thirteen. Matt had seen him around the preservation. He was always alone. And Matt hadn't been able to save him. He'd been stabbed four times and there wasn't enough time. Bursting out the front door of the clinic, he slides down the wall, his head falling into his hands. He doesn't care that he has blood on him. He looks around, trying to get a handle on the guilt.]

She was trying to conserve her secret stash of matches that she had stored up over the years, but at this rate all of her hidden packets will be empty at the end of week. Letting out a sigh, she hides the empty packet back in her pocket and takes out her lighter instead, watch duty got boring, and nothing kills time quite like fire. Resisting the temptation to set fire to a building, Cassandra settles for watching the flames dance out of the lighter, losing track of her thoughts in the movements of the fire}

Cassandra's mother had always been a sick person, so it was no surprise that she soon passed away, while Cass was only a young girl. Her father, Darrin, didn't bat an eyelash at his wife's death and continued on with his work, this left Cassandra ignore and neglected, as her father couldn't be bothered to acknowledge her. So, in order to gain any attention from her father, the once innocent and kind girl, grew to be a rebel with bad attitude and mouth, breaking laws and rules, taking extreme risks, which ended up with Cassandra suffering from pyromania.

The outbreak of the Z-Virus, didn't change her way of life, she still stole cars and food, burnt things and kept the bad attitude of hers. In a way, this resulted in Cassandra leaving her father behind in a burning house full of zombies (She couldn't resist the temptation of setting it on fire). Her father's death didn't change her at all, her love of fire and risk taking behavior continued, in fact, she would often attempt to play 'tag' with the zombies, before setting them on fire. Upon realizing that her food supplies were growing short and admitting to herself that she missed human company, Cassandra set off to find a safe town to stay.

Finally, she found the remaining survivors in Herefordshire. Knowing that the other survivors wouldn't appreciate her fondness for destruction and fire, she signed up to the military as a solider, where she could happily set things on fire under the reason of protecting the perimeter.

[Parker steps very close to the man, his voice dropping down and his eyes focused on the others.] I don't mind to fix your shit. But if you're going to go back out on the agreed payment, you should remember that I can easily undo what I've done. [To demonstrate what he meant, he leans over the engine he'd just spend three hours working on and pulls out a spark plug that he had hand retooled. Showing it to the man, he considers breaking it again, and telling him to piss off. But then he sees the little girl that had already climbed into the backseat, and she reminds him of Ingrid and he can't do it. Putting it back in, he slams the hood down and looks at him.] Get out of my garage. If you come back, you will be paying me. Or you will be hurt. Follow? [He stares the man down, sidestepping to allow him to get into his vehicle and drive off. Government officials were always the worst clients. He'd passed up six other jobs to do this one because the man promised payment. He punches a wall without thinking, shaking his hand out as the pain set in.] Well piss.
