Summary: so CHAPTER 3 ended up a lot more angst or even whump than i set out to write... but here we are.

when circumstances prevent him from using his TARDIS’ zero room to recover, the Master ‘crashes’ after a trip with the Doctor, and has a really bad few days physically and mentally.

hope it's okay to ask this, even though we haven't talked. i saw you say you have bpd, have you ever tried dbt? im currently talking w my therapist about it for bpd or bipolar (or both, they're not sure) but i dont know how well dbt works for autistic people

not really ideal to ask this on anon… could you come off anon and message me and also tell me what DBT is because i can’t remember i mean yeah i could google it so i’ll just do that 

i’m not official borderline but i strongly suspect it

also thanks for reminding me i was trying to find a shrink this year and i keep getting sidetracked in the search

they’ve got out of the sidecar-vespa to take a break in the park. Ten is stretching in the background while S!M carries a blanket. everything seems fine but maybe it’s not.

Ten is standing among tall plants, staring blankly (at memories, not at their surroundings?)

S!M is sat on the blanket, motions for Ten to join him. 

the two are sitting together, S!M pulls Ten closer, but the doctor is nervous and looking down sadly.

Ten has got their head on S!M’s lap; he’s trying to help them relax, but they’re still fidgeting their feet and meshing and unmeshing their fingers.

S!M dries Ten’s tears with his thumb; Ten is still staring into some void only they can see.

S!M helps Ten sit up. the sun falls on their face unevenly. both of them are looking almost at each other, but seeing all their pasts instead.

Ten is standing, backlit by the sun, pressing one hand to their head. but it’s not headache... mind-ache, maybe?

the blanket is spread out on a different, more spacious concrete surface. Ten presses their hands to their face, burrows into the refuge of the master’s lap. he’s looking down at the doctor, stroking their hair... and their mind.

after some time, Ten grasps S!M’s hand and rubs their eyes, blinking at the light. the master’s other hand still sends reassurances through the doctor’s scalp. he glares up at the sun and probably the universe... you can stop hurting my doctor an' all.
