Hi hello happy Six Sentence Sunday! Or 30 Second Sunday for me. I've been doing the dual duty of fanart and anatomical study by drawing Lupe in a bunch of Fucked Up Pitching Poses:
I was tagged this fine Sunday by the lovely @martsonmars and @erzbethluna! Thank you, thank you, friends!
I was inspired to do these sketchies by my brothers' old baseball cards that I sorted with him several summers in a row in the early 2000s so I took a few reeaaaallly messed up pitcher pics from that era, in which we in the baseball fan world saw a new kind of appreciation for unusual batting stances and pitching wind-ups. I also grabbed a good number of pictures of Sandy Koufax, who has a more standard-to-era pitching style (except that I totally forgot he's throws left!! When Lupe canonically throws right-handed!! gah... I'll have to reverse these sketches or something 🤔) I may turn some of these into more full drawings so we can see the funky facial expressions that go with the ungodly body position. Seeing these stills really shows ya why pitchers have such fucked-up elbows, Lupe obviously included.
