A  monster .  He  couldn’t  pretend he  was  no monster .  Not when  she’d  spent years  upon  years  thinking  she’d sacrificed  her daughter  just  to  beat  HIM .  Years upon  years  crying over  her  dead  child .  Wondering   whether THIS  had  been the  right  choice . Whether  saving  the human  race  from Wilford  had  been more  important  than dying  with  her daughter .  And  now , he  was  standing right  there ;  claiming this  was  what ?  Her imagination ? Her  need  to prove  something ?  That  she’d  named him  a  beast only  to  get POWER ?  For  all  she  cared about  power  really . For  all  she cared  about  the crown .  He  could lock  her  away for  the  rest of  her  life and  she  wouldn’t  protest ; not  as  long as  Alex  was  safe . Not  as  long as  the  world she’d  built  survived.  For in  the  end ,  she  was a  monster  to  many  as  well ; and  maybe  this was  why  they’d once  made  a good  team .  Maybe  this  was  why  she’d once  admired  him .

❝ What  we need  is  cooperation . ❞  Her voice  was  quiet , yet  tone  still intense .  She  was tired ,  she  was  exhausted .  All these  years  pretending to  be  HIM , keeping  his  memory alive .  Turning  him into  humanity’s  hero . Into  a  God .  And  now … now  she was  paying for  it ;  condemned to  watching  everything she’d  built  collapsing right  before  her eyes .  Everyone  and everything  abandoned  in  the mercy  of  this man .  ❝ You  want to  destroy  me , destroy  me .  But  just  me . ❞ Not  Snowpiercer .  Not Alex .  She’d  been  the  one that’d  left  him for  dead ,  after all . She’d  been  the one  deserving  whatever punishment .

       “ Hey! Bess ! ”      Her voice was hesitant even if still loud enough for the blonde to hear her. Shorter legs came across the tight corridor to meet the taller woman - former lover. Everyone was panicking with Wilford attacking or taking over Snowpiercer. Ruth had come to ask her about the aquarium, even though she wasn’t an engineer and didn’t design the car, she was the one who had stayed in here and used it the most, taking care of it like her own child. But the aquarium wouldn’t be there anymore in an hour if they followed up Andre’s plan. Jinju understood the act of sacrifice.She had witnessed Melanie’s for seven years and endured her secret alongside. Even when she hadn’t been part of the rebellion with the ex jackboot, she knew it was crucial for her to help against Wilford. For Melanie at least. It was the right thing to do.      “I just wanted to say... good luck.”      She nodded with a short smile, uncomfortable to stand in front of her after everything that happened between them.
