The cemetery is a somber enough place. Full of the long-dead and the more recently inducted, it is a place of grieving, solace for the living who have lost loved ones.
Now, the cemetery of the X-Men is short one.
"She Will Rise Again" reads the headstone of one Jean-Grey Summers. And oh, how true it is. Freshly-moved dirt sits to either side of a gaping hole, and nothing but air now sits where there was once a coffin.
Taped to the headstone is a note:
Mister Headmaster Sir:
Popped Jean out for a bit. I hope you don't mind. We needed a telepath for Science and Little Quentin wouldn't agree to come along.
Don't worry, though, I'll replace this one with a newer, younger model soon.
I'll even put it right back here, dead and everything.
Don't ever say I'm not considerate.
