It came to me recently. Tinfoil Chef was a caretaker of Scar and Cub before all 3 moved to Hermitcraft.
I personally see all 3 of them as vexes and for some reason see TFC as boys’ primary caretaker.
Even more, the jacket Scar has (his og skin?) used to belong to TFC and Scar takes a great care of it, unlike his own well-being.
Every hermit notices that whenever Scar wears it (usually during some emotionally rough days or days he is so proud of himself he wants to share it with TFC) he is actually more careful and less reckless.
Cub has TFC’s pickaxe and keeps it in the ender chest, so nothing can damage it. His only fear is working while tired and accidentally using it instead of his own.
This is so wholesome. Keeping your old caretaker with you through his old things <3
