oh, he stands out like a sore thumb if you know what to look for but his saving grace is he doesn’t seem to carry himself with the same arrogance of others from his country. no, she’s all to aware of tevinter and their cruelty. there was a time where the two might have had the unfortunate luck of going toe to toe with one another but that was another life; when she’d aligned herself with the fog dancers and helped in the fight against tevinter. before she had become a red jenny, before she had done a lot of things. ❛ does it feel strange to go against people who might’ve been allies at one point? ❜ she asks, naturally referring to the venatori, ❛ were there any you recognized? ❜ // @bransle: sc.
"everywhere i turn, it's like some wild animal — or wild man — is waiting for the chance to tear into me."
arthur’s steps faltered and he chuckled at that before forging ahead once again; he felt a little called out despite his best attempts to contain himself around the man. what was a lingering gaze or two among men anyway ?
“ city folk tend t’ attract a lot of attention out here. jus somethin’ irresistible ‘bout them, i s’pose. ” arthur mused lightly, then examined himself more seriously, ‘ maybe its his cologne. or the way he moves them hips. ’
only thing for certain about the stranger was that he was dangerous. definitely not your average new york milksop that ended up lost, alone and penniless in the country side. he had eyes that cut like diamonds and confidence that wasn’t just born from father’s fancy estate and years of baseless self-aggrandizing. he was desirable and he knew itー arthur worried he might end up the one feeling lost without him if he didn’t watch himself
“ don’t worry yer pretty head none, we’re nearly back t’ town now. ”

Sensibly enough, Atlas had an appreciation for getting to know those he was working with. Unfortunately, his recent busyness had made that somewhat of a difficult task, between worrying about the fate of the world and worrying about where the hell he was going to end up piloting the Inquisition. Really, he never saw himself as much of a leader. Finally, though, Atlas was able to find a moment’s respite amongst the chaos. At first, he wasn’t sure what to do with himself, but aimlessly wandering the grounds of Skyhold eventually brought him to an answer. “... It’s Dorian, right?” he smiled warmly, “I don’t think I ever thanked you for your help at Redcliffe.”
From PBS Learning Media:
“The Bransle, or Branle, is an old French country dance that became popular in the royal courts of France and England during the Renaissance.”
"Baba Yetu" is a masterpiece, but this is my favorite track in Civilization IV.
