I know we tend to default to Tav for obvious reasons, but are there any of the origins companions you find compelling in theory with Raphael?
Hmmm, I think all of them have something Raphael can exploit. Astarion is more than willing to deal with him to gain an edge over Cazador. And later Lae'zel practically begs Tav to make the deal.
Gale honestly probably wouldn't, he just seems dead set against such a thing even though he's also in dire straits. Same with Shadowheart, Wyll and Karlach.
The thing is though. Raphael is immortal, he's been playing this game for centuries. He takes his time, bides it, wears those defenses down until only frayed strands remain. And the thing is, they don't even realize it until it's too late.
But anyway.
Probably most compelling WOULD be Withers.
