🔥 a time my muse got caught doing something bad.
People always assumed that Narcissa was the “good” child, well as good as it gets in the Black family. It wasn’t per say as if she didn’t do bad things, it was more the fact that Narcissa was able to get away with it easier. For example, there was one time when an heirloom vase was broken the blame immediately when towards Bellatrix. When questioned about the incident after her older sister stated her innocence, Narcissa in a very innocent manner redirected their search, after all she wasn’t going to take the blame it might cost her the new earrings she’d asked of her father.
“I saw that new maid lurking in the corridor.” she chirped, her doe eyes large and feigning innocence. The youngest Black wasn’t fond of her in the first place, so she didn’t bother putting the blame on her. Earlier that week she had washed her silk nightgown with the towels, but her mother wouldn’t hear her daughter’s pleas of letting her go. So instead she’d find another way of getting rid of her, and this was her chance.
The young maid didn’t stand a chance, as she was booted out of the Manor in a matter of hours, Narcissa watching from the front door; her face in a gleeful smile.
“That is the last time you lie to me Narcissa,” her father’s voiced rang from behind her. She jumped out of surprise and saw her father standing behind her, his face grim. “I know it was you who broke the vase, the maid snitched on you. At first I was furious at her for accusing you so I persuaded her to be more truthful, but it was her truth,.”
“I’m sorry Father for lying to you, but she was indeed a dreadful maid.” Narcissa said, her eyes watering.
“True, she’s gone just for the fact that she even dare to blame you. Also, she ruined my fifth favorite coat.”
“I’ll go buy you and even more glamours coat Father,” Narcissa said meekly, her lips parting into a small childlike smile, and her father nodded in response.
“You always choose my best clothing, now Narcissa enter quickly the cold air is entering the manor.”
“Yes Father!” she exclaimed, gleefully entering the manor, knowing that her blunder was well forgotten.
