Bolehkah menolak pembayaran uang tunai?
My sleep pattern is like an easily startled deer, or perhaps a unicorn, unwilling to entertain the presence of even the most placid of men.
So i got myself access to Dragon Age: Origins while it was on sale, after years of not playing it. And today i didn't get out of bed until 14:00 (the dog was not impressed).
I am a Dwarf commoner rogue, mostly duel weilding right now. I did not know about the gold/exp exploit in Lothering, and that is some cursed knowledge.
I also (it has been years) thought the choice at Soldier's Peak was a one-or-the-other situation. I did not know that i could kill both the fucked up Nazi doctor mage AND the envy demon (they an envy demon right? They feel like an envy demon. Did they say what flavour they were?).
So yes of course i drank the juice (even if i think powers that cost health to use are dumb and lame - my own personal take. Some people love self-harmi - i mean love blood mages). And also everyone is dead. I am a mean and selfish Dwarf >:3.
As for the demon. Like, i know chunks of the lore. But that one was giving off "imma hurt people" vibes. And also they had armour i wanted. But on the whole if the demon/spirit is gonna be chill, and doesn't have any shiny things i want, then idk and i don't care.
I have just entered Honnleath, and aquired the chees knife. I want to keep my exposure minimal tonight, and try to coax back the deer of some normal human sleeping hours.
Leliana is easy to love. I have never dalied with Zevran though, so i think i might see where that goes when he shows up ^^3.
If the writers wanted more of a balance in the fan base between fans of mages and fans of ICE - i mean fans of templars (sorry you have to deal with those, America), they could have just made a few more Nazi doctor type mages who listened to the demons and filled more castles with monsters - and - and this point is crucial: have that Nazi doctor type NOT be pushed to extremes by a fascist king or the templars or chantry. They have to have done it because they wanted to. Not because they were a poor wounded deer who decided to fight back.
Because a few more sites across Thedas, perenially fucked and dangerous because of one arsehole? And they have to be a dyed-through arsehole. Sure, i'll buy that mages are actually dangerous.
But hundreds (thousands) of people locked up and abused because of an accident of birth? With no significant sign of them being an actual danger beyond self-defence? That is not a faction of society worth the fear the writers want attributed to them.
I may post a little more about this playthrough as i go. I may even show a picture of my Castless >.>. I may even draw >.>.
(Sorry no random picture this time. Though i am curently painting some birbs for christmas ^^3).

About the cultural apropiation in dragon age, i remember that blood mage elf in da2 with the fucking casteless tattoo. Like why
OMG. What? Did I miss this???
Are you serious rn? (See what I’m assuming probably happened is the designers gave zero fucks, but that is terrible.)
If Castless aren't allowed on the Proving Grounds,
then why the hell does Jarvia get welcomed with open arms?
