The anime often compares Thorfinn to a wolf (in the anime opening and in Arnheid’s dream), which is actually pretty cool, and there’s a lot of symbolism there that fits him.
But I absolutely love that the fandom sees this, and the fandom goes: “Nooooooo! He’s a cat! Specifically an orange one.”
