Here’s a very chubby purple Pygmy hippo.🦛 I don’t know why, but I like making hippos purple even if they’re not really that colour.😆 🌱 Some interesting Pygmy hippo facts: - A common hippo weighs about 10 times as much as a Pygmy hippo - They’re solitary and nocturnal, and live in lowland forests close to rivers - Their closest living relatives are whales and dolphins - They are Endangered and found in fragmented populations in western Africa 🌱 My favourite recent zoo baby is definitely Penelope the Pygmy hippo from @thetorontozoo.
