Huh, that’s some weird artifacts in their vision, must‘ve been a hard crash! I‘m sure it means nothing. 🪴

Next chapter

Time flies! To celebrate one year of me starting this, I decided to redraw chapter 1. It’s the shortest chapter by far, with only 4 pages, although the redraw gained another two.

Sparks is a SDV comic centering around Sam and my farmer, I’ve started it on a whim last December, after I just discovered new music. I’ve since finished 10 chronological chapters, and additional 3 that I’ll have to redraw once the time is right. It’s very dear to my heart. Nothing has brought me this much joy and pushed me this hard to improve my art before. So far I‘ve only shown it to friends who asked to read it, because I was too shy to make it public.

No more! Going forwards, I decided to post my comic to tumblr! Since most of my chapters are longer than 30 pages, I won’t post them to Instagram. Before posting, I’ll remove or tweak the risqué bits (it’s only 8 pages, dw). Right now I’m planning a 2 week posting schedule :3 after I’m caught up it will obviously slow down, I keep getting distracted drawing Sparks by drawing other Sam art.

I WON‘T redraw the remaining chapters, which means you‘ll have to deal with my humble beginnings, with chapter 2 - 6 drawn traditionally, on paper. Anatomy mistakes, flow problems, etc. included! (Not that my art is perfect now, either haha)

This is my first work of fiction, so please lower your expectations accordingly. It’s a slowburn, spans 3 years, and what I’ve drawn so far hasn’t even begun to show the more complex parts of the plot. If you‘re into awkward fluff, you‘ll be fine though!

💖happy valentines!💖 I don’t usually partake in the holiday, but I’ve got a craving for actually drawing these two as a couple atm (gasp!!), and what better excuse could I have than on a day dedicated to romance™️ ?

This turned out wildly different than planned because I suddenly wanted to try different layer modes and a more bold color palette and a rainbow dummy sphere with only one day to spare. Had to change their initial outfit palette a bit because it just made the light pink parts look grey / like their skin. Whoops! But I still had a lot of fun and I think a learned a lot!

❗️ because I got some remarks while I made this…there is nothing freaky going on in this, I just had trouble with the pose in the middle one 😖they’re just sharing a kiss.

Sparks Ch.8 - “Pool Night”

Nothing lifts the spirits after a long work day like losing to your best friend at Pool. (To the og’s: decided to split the remaining 15 pages off, since it’s a seperate scene a couple days later. Will post them in 2 weeks :3).

Samtober day 20: Horror Movie / Game

Poor sillies, too terrified to enjoy being this close. Keep it together, it’s just Coraline!

I said I wouldn’t post anything as I’m scared of horror. But then @slowpoli presented me with this idea and one hr before sleepy time I started to doodle. Don’t look at the anatomy, I didn’t use refs (I mostly don’t because I’m lazy and never learn. Don’t be like me). I know it’s off, but that’s ok! This is just for the vibes 😎

Tea shop AU! Prefacing this with the statement that you should NEVER flirt with employees on the clock (or catch them after and before they start a shift). It’s ok here, because Matcha is very much into him.

He was there the first time because Jodi made him buy a bday present for Caroline, met a certain aqua haired worker, and is now yapping her ear off many days when things are slow.

Things are always slow.

This tea shop isnt popular and her boss is an unpleasant person.

Got inspired by @astal-art who’s stuff I’ve adored for some months now, I love it so much!

💐Samtober day 28: Leaves🥀

“Yeah sure…we can still be friends.”

This is NOT what’s happening in Sparks, she would never break up with him! I was just stumped for ideas.

I already made a watercolor of Sam with autumn leaves, so I pondered what other fallen leaves there are and…remembered the wilted bouquet.

I feel like breaking up with Sam should be against the law. Idk how people do it.

His breakup portrait doesnt have the bit of stray hair in front, but it looked wrong without. I compromised by making it a bit smaller. I’m not sure if I like where my art style is heading arghhh. Maybe a side effect of drawing every day, with little time to consider the details.

Will post something more lighthearted later today!
