Sheena’s hands came up and she held Zelos close, snuggling into his taller frame. “We’ll check to see if the coast is clear in a few minutes,” She promised softly, unable to stop a shiver from racing down her spine but not from the cold. With his nose pressed against her neck, Zelos’ breath tickled along her throat and collarbone. Her fingers flexed in his hair but she didnt pull him away. It felt nice…

A few minutes was going to stretch into a long time in this cold. His shoulders were quite chilly and he shook his head slightly, tossing his curls to help cover the bare skin. Sheena had curled in closer, so he tightened his grip on her a little, feeling her fingers tangling in his hair. She was a warm anchor, a distraction from the cold he hated so much. 

“Talk to me” he murmured, his voice barely audible with lips pressed against her skin. “They probably can’t hear through that thick door anyway.” This had to be a cold box, it was too chilly to be anything else. Not to mention there was some sort of seal on the door that kept all the light out. He hoped it wouldn’t be too much trouble to push it open again when they tried to get out.

“At least you are warm..”

It was a little chilly in here, now that she mentioned it. What was this thing, a cooler? It was certainly dark and cool enough to be one. He hadn’t gotten much of a look around before the door had swung shut again, more preoccupied with making sure Sheena followed him in and no one saw them. 

“This sneaking around thing goes a lot smoother with one person” he told her quietly. “But I guess I can’t complain about company if I need a little shared warmth.” She was already leaning against him, so he wrapped his arms around her, burying his nose in the crook of her neck. “It really is cold in here, isn’t it,” he murmured. He hated the cold. Closing his eyes, as he couldn’t see anything anyway, he concentrated on the warmth that was Sheena.
