How...is this canonical. How did it even come up?

i was joking...it’s not canonical, just headcanon. but please tell me you actually were thinking that there might be a secret scene somewhere in Pokemon canon that talks about the color of N’s pubic hair, because IF YOU WERE, that is way funnier than anything i have said ever

I think that's really only true for Gens 4 through 6. Gens 2 and 3 had extremely concrete roles: Lugia and Ho-oh are just Big Birds with one who has resurrection powers as a phoenix but their association is place of worship, while Groudon and Kyogre are just big land and sea beasts with Rayquaza as the sky beast that keeps them in line. There's no a whole lot of interpretation to be done, at least not in the philosophical sense. Meanwhile, Gen 8's dogs are just kinda there as vague protectors, while Gen 9's lizards are just past/future beasts that are cool. There's really nothing going on there.

Gen 4 had Space and Time as fabric of reality control, with Giratina as the reverse world, whatever that is supposed to be in metaphysical terms. But that I think gets distilled down to like...control over. Dialga controls time, it can therefore manipulate it in some way, although this is rarely explored. Palkia can manipulate space, which is more explored in Mystery Dungeon where it can functionally teleport wherever it wants and draw people between dimensions. Giratina rules the reverse world, though it's not entirely clear what exactly it does.

Gen 6 has the life/death/balance thing, except they forgot that Zygarde does anything. Xerneas confers (nigh eternal) life, while Yveltal kills, but there's not a whole lot of confusion about what exactly their functional deal is.

Gen 5 is really the odd one out. Similar to 4 and 6, it's going for a sort of metaphysical control, but unlike Space/Time and Life/Death which have a clear "Control over" mechanism, what the hell is "Control of truth/ideals" supposed to mean? Reshiram and Zekrom really don't have any actual alignment to either, they're just the tool used by brothers whose rhetoric championed those concepts. They don't "control" anything, and they don't strictly represent either concept, especially considering N will take either while his dialogue and goals go virtually unchanged. So I do find that duo particularly meaningless in concept, even if I still enjoy them.

My college often only passes the bare minimum requirement for wheelchair accessibility, and tends to forget it in any atypical circumstance.  First, there is no almost no sidewalk entirely around the perimeter of my campus. There is only one accessible bus stop, and it is on the far south side.  Every time I take the bus to the college, I still have to cross most of the campus to get to my classes, rather than arriving at the front of the college.  This has not changed in ten years.  My college's Disability Resource Center introduced this route to me as a "solution" to there being no sidewalk.

Then last summer, during a construction project on this route, the crosswalk button to the bus stop was fenced off so that only an standing person that could reach a few more inches over the fence could use it.  For a few days I just had to wait for someone to walk by to push the button for me so I could cross safely.  On top of that, they left a heavy metal sign in the middle of the sidewalk that people can easily walk around, but was impossible for me to move to get to the bus stop.  When I reported these problems to the Disability Resource Center, they could only speculate about who was in fact accountable for the construction project.  They gave me some phone numbers, but nothing worked, and the problem was never resolved.   The construction project just finished and the route was opened later.  The fact is, the makeshift nature of the construction project was just not subject to the same thoroughness of handicap accessibility as regular facilities.  

Finally, resources reserved specifically for the handicapped like lower computers in the computer lab, handicap stalls, wheelchair spaces on buses and shuttles etcetera are never actually reserved for the handicapped, and always function as additional resources for anyone to use.  At the handicap accessible computer table which is at a lower height, there is always a sign that says "no chairs allowed" so that wheelchairs can park at it -- and there is always a small stool next to it for people to sit at in order to break that rule.  The staff must be aware of the stool - it is almost permanently stationed there.  When they open the few spots that wheelchair uses can use to the larger public just because the larger public is large, it makes it much harder for a wheelchair user to access their own accommodation than it is for anyone else to use their own resources.  There is this idea that handicapped people should wait for the handicapped restroom stall like anyone else waits to use a stall in a restroom.  Except, everyone else can wait for one of five or so stalls, while there's only one handicapped stall per restroom experience.  And the deck is further stacked against a wheelchair user by all the people who feel free to use the handicapped stall to change their clothes, change their baby, or just for the comfort.  This is all allowed, encouraged, and/or done anyway.

Have you heard of an actual term for someone who was raised as a different gender? I'm thinking of posting something/putting something on my page about that, but I don't want to get in trouble for using the wrong term.

I can ask one of my friends who’s a bit more involved with the community. The best I can come up with is trans* but I am willing to bet that is not the correct term.

If any of my followers also knows the answer, then you can go ahead and let us know!
