Cyberdimension Neptunia: 4 Goddesses Online Announced with Trailer
Looking at the trailer, seen below, it appears that there will be some character variety to be enjoyed. Combining this with cosmetic items that can be “resized, rotated, and placed anywhere,” there should be a nice smorgasbord in the player models found online. The publisher is also promising a wide variety of skills for each character that can be mapped to the face buttons, ensuring that not every build will be the same.

The deep appeal of cyber and abyssal dimensions to me is something I ponder a lot. Cyber dimensions are attractive for similar reasons the internet can be. Everything is mutable, but in a cyber dimension this can be taken even further. Every single aspect of yourself could be up to you to decide. It's both an appealing and overwhelming aspect.
Abyssal dimensions are a bit... vaguer in terms of rules. However generally there's this appreciation for the grotesque. A beauty in the ruin of everything. A celebration of the downcast and ugly.

Compile Heart president Norihisa Kochiwa stated in an interview with Dengeki Playstation that they are making a new Neptunia game that will “1,000-percent exceed everyone’s imaginations”. Also the company will focus on Playstation 4 more, next to mobile games and they are working on a new more mature IP “with sorrowful music and legacy-feeling visuals”.
