day 12: the person that you hate the most/caused you a lot of pain

dear you, honestly, it's sad because i don't really hate you at all and i really really miss you. but you fucked up. i guess i fucked up too because i know i did have my chance with you and i didn't take it. but then you took advantage of me and i thought i loved you and you told me you cared about me and i was simply a freshman in high school, so of course i'm going to believe it. we stayed up for hours just talking to each other and everyone knew about us, but i just don't understand why you lied to me so much. i really wish we never would have started talking again or had attempted to try things over with us because i think it ruined us even more. and when you apologized before you deployed, i think i hated you but loved you at the same time and i never felt like that and it was very confusing. i didn't want to forgive you, so i didn't. so i never hung out with you before you left and now i really wish i would have taken the chance to do so. maybe we would be somewhere different than we are now. maybe we would actually be talking or maybe i would be happy or maybe i wouldn't be so closed off or i would believe in love or i would stop remembering how i felt the time you told me that you "loved me like a sister" and that you didn't want to be with me and i cried on the phone and then you tried to take it back and be with me again. i really wish you could see me now. i am different and i am pretty and i am confident and i think you would like me now. i know you have a girlfriend and i know you're happy with her but i'll always wonder what could've been. anyway, maybe we'll meet again soon. best of luck in life. i always knew you would do amazing things. love, old macdonald
