D3MOIRA 2017 SHIRT DESIGN

Our dear D3moira commissioned me to illustrate her a shirt in the same theme as her stickers. While I took heavy inspiration from horror movie posters, I was able to inject more of my illustrative style in this piece. I'm comfortable working at bigger dimensions, so I find a shirt scale piece much easier to create, over a sticker scaled piece.

With stickers, you're working in a smaller size in order to have the finished product be simple enough to see. And y'all know how I love going hard with decorations! So obviously I have to tone it down with stickers. heheheh

I ended a five year relationship because he started mentioning kids and a house, and I was not down. It's been?? a few years for me, and i still get a bit sad even tho i ended it. ultimately i've found truth in the statement that it's better to be alone than be with someone who makes you feel lonely. not to snoop in on your personal things, just something i empathize with to some degree.

haha, it’s okay, it’s not like it’s snooping when i’m venting about it indiscriminately on the internet. i think things are a bit weird for me bc i was on the other side of the fence: i was ready to settle down and do all those things, and he ultimately wasn’t, which is fair but made us incompatible, y’know? i definitely was lonely in the relationship during the last six months or so when things were falling apart, and i gotta remind myself of that rather than reflecting on the Good Ole Days when we were both at uni and not thinking about the future as much, haha.i hope you’re doing well and we should catch up properly soon! i’d love to hear how you’re going <3
