🥺❤️ i loved this banter SO MUCH. its so refreshing to have two elven (both dalish in this case) companions get along TBH
they're both literally my very favorites...
HE WAS INSANE FOR HTI S
like i get why elgar'nan seems to be involved in everyone's personal quests but to me its funny bc i keep imagining him networking
like hes posting shit on linkedin and has "want power? dm me for more info" in his bio like he's selling online courses
biyaya thinking davrin thinks she's cringey while she's infodumping and yapping meanwhile....
okay but why does no one have HER as a contact she's the one we desperately need for the Blight 😔
a warden's life is definitely lonely, and double for davrin who hasn't seen anyone close in years
i feel like he doesn't think he deserves to feel sad or lonely about it, because he left his clan to see the world outside it
but i can't help but think he is, and sometimes he wonders what it'd be like if he stayed
so not done yet but i brought bellara and davrin (my faves, well davrin was a must for this) to weisshaupt and this may be an unpopular opinion, but i really enjoy the banter/dialogue during the entire thing
i think it's so...natural? idk how it is with other companions, but i liked hearing bellara start freaking out and get overwhelmed bc hey, its crazy scary going through all that darkspawn. davrin isn't coddling her but is explaining clearly what's going on and what must be done. the way the convos go feel so natural
i've seen a lot of weird bellara hate, esp w her va and how they think she "sounds like a baby" but it's perfectly in character for bellara to be freaked out because she's spent all her life in a different sort of world. also i love the emotion her va puts into her distress, I THINK it's good
i know i made the crit that i thought the dialogue was too sanitized, and while i think it is a bit, it's growing on me and i'm really enjoying how natural the companions all sound with each other
the part where bellara was like "have you fought this many darkspawn before davrin?" and he was like "i killed that one's cousin on thursday, that's why it's pissed" was funny
