* ☆ @dearestsuki › ˚ -— “ c’mon, yeonhee, ” she sighs, head rolling back as she sees her three year old attempt to hide behind the slide, refusing to go back home. “ if you don’t listen to me santa is going to give you big lumps of celery and ants for christmas and mommy’s going to make you eat them! ” she hears a whine followed repetitive no’s as yeonhee runs toward her. “ i don’t understand why you can’t listen the first time! you’re only making it more difficult for yourself, ” lecturing a toddler who’s very job is to cause chaos and be dysfunctional.
‘ mommy, can you get me a broom for christmas? ’ chahee snorts, followed by a laugh, “ a broom? you need a flying license for that, which isn’t until you’re eleven — ” she’s cut off by another whine. ‘ mommy! carry me! my legs hurt — ’ chahee looks down, “ i’m not carrying you! that’s what you get for not listening to me. keep up! ”
she pouts, ‘ mommy, you’re mean! ’
chahee pats her head for positive reinforcement. “ we’re almost home anyway — ” and once again, before she can finish speaking, yeonhee cuts her off, running toward her parents setting up the christmas decorations on the front lawn, ‘ grandma, grandma! mommy is a meanie! ’
“ don’t snitch! i didn’t raise you to be a snitch — ” she’s cut off again, not by her daughter, but by someone else. not because of what’s said, but because of who it is. she freezes, holding her breath, unsure where to look. “ yeonhee, go inside, i’ll make you hot chocolate. ”
this isn’t how she wants yeonhee to meet her birth father. well, to be honest — she never wanted or intended for her to meet her birth father.
“ long time no see, -— rokhyun. ”
