I wrote this instead of my essay about how DC comics sucks at representation so enjoy!
(Damian’s trans here! She/Her)
Damian’s never said it out loud but Jon has commitment issues. She didn’t even realize it until he first left without a single text. At first, Damian was just too busy to check her phone, then she was too busy to go see in person, but when she got there Clark had to explain that Jon didn’t simply vanish off the face of the earth. He quite literally left Earth and just didn’t bother to text Damian. She was first shocked, then angry, then dejected. She thought back to how Clark mentioned what happened with the Titans had something to do with his disappearance and it was like a jab to the heart. It felt like Damian’s fault. She had already gotten a bad omen received from her father at the age of 10 and between going back to her mother, and death, she chose to fight to the death. It was the heroic thing to do anyway. But now she was stuck without a fight to the death. Only a consequence she didn’t realize had sprouted.
It hit harder when she talked to Maya about what had happened. She had been living with Kathy for a while, and when Kathy heard the news she broke down sobbing. Neither had to be an empath to know she liked Jon more than as a friend. But with him being one of the few close friends she had she was willing to keep it platonic. Damian had felt completely uncomfortable and could only mutter a silent apology before disappearing. She didn’t have the strength to go back. Especially as her own problems kept piling up. Between what happened with Jon, Richard getting shot, and her father going on a rampage, Damian’s own mental health began to slip through the cracks. And what had started as a simple relationship with Dijin was left with her trying to hold herself together for her sake, and her being stuck trying to help.
It wasn’t entirely toxic. But it wasn’t healthy either. Damian knew she should have talked to her more about not falling to a savior complex to override guilt but she was the only thing keeping Damian together. So she selfishly kept her lips shut. She was there when Jason got beat up and Damian was terrified of her father striking her. She was there when Todd beat her up due to her own careless mistakes, and she was there when Jon came back.
Jon. The kid who looked like sunshine turned human was now a 17-year-old with a deep scar and an invisible sag in his shoulders. Damian recognizes it as the same sag that Richard and Dijin both carry. A weight of trying to remain positive to keep others content. It made her stomach churn. When he excitedly asked Damian to come to see the future Damian didn’t have the heart to say no. The joy in Jon’s eyes outweighed the fear she had of seeing the future. So she blindly agreed to go with him, thinking that since she had already endured comments about her background and future so it would be fine.
It was worse than she could have imagined. The worst part was she didn’t even remember any of it. Had he not been checking through the footage of her eye mask for evidence, she never would have discovered the truth. There were the comments, the fear, everything Damian already known she was at a risk of dealing with. What she didn’t expect was Jon’s reaction to it. He at first acted ignorant to it, then when Damian collapsed he swooped in to catch her, but the revelation came with what happened next. Saturn Girl had apparently mind-wiped her from the incident saying to just think of it as stress for who you become. Jon had barely even argued with her before he just let her carry Damian away in a blinding light.
Damian felt numb but then touched her face to see that she was crying. She broke down sobbing. She locked herself in her room and set boundaries with Dijin and was stuck contemplating everything she had just witnessed. Jon hadn’t cared that Damian was being insulted, he barely bothered to take care of Damian’s unconscious body. Had he been a kid Damian could easily lecture him on the dangers of leaving someone unconscious in the hands of strangers and could take it in as naitivity. But Jon was older now. And he knew better. Jon lost his innocence boarding that spaceship and Damian lost her friend. That once small decision cemented the destruction of a hard-built friendship. She couldn’t even bring himself to care about Jon showing up weeks later. Asking if Damian was okay, pretending that he cared. Damian simply brushed him off.
Months later, Damian and Dijin had long since broken things off with each other and the main regret Damian had was not having a chance to properly apologize. After kissing Flatline at the fireworks she was upfront in telling her she wanted time before making anything official and explained what happened in her past attempt at a relationship. Flatline, who seemed to not have a judgmental bone in his body was appreciative of her honesty. And even admitted to wanting to work on making platonic relationships before moving on to romantic ones. It wasn’t a rejection. More of a pause.
When Damian officially came back and came out of the closet, Jon had returned the favor and introduced his boyfriend to her. Jay seemed nice. But looks can be deceiving and she made sure to shovel talk the guy, but overall didn’t see any threats in him. He seemed to have a mostly laid back personality and even laughed when Damian compared him to a discord mod and Saiki K. Jon was horrified but Jay was laughing “Oh relax, it’s nothing I haven’t heard before, at least we know she likes me”. Damian debated telling Jay the truth about Jon. She didn’t even bother with Saturn Girl. When Jon told her about them dating she didn’t dignify it with a response, not wanting to come across as the jealous friend but she had no beef with Jay.
Should she tell him? How Jon left without texting, how he left behind his first love and had apparently yet to revisit? Did he even make sure to officially break things off with Saturn Girl? The more she thought about it the more it weighed in her chest. Jon wasn’t unfaithful in the sense of cheating. For now. But he did have a nasty habit of ghosting people then brushing things off like things were fine. Obviously, he had his own trauma. It was one of the reasons Damian didn’t say anything. But now she felt torn.

Machine Gunning OC Info
It has come to my attention that I post them but you all legitimately have no genuine context on my OC/s and why they exist. Or anything about them that would make them interesting.
So let's start, short and sweet, I will present all information in an informative format. Primarily through bullet lists.
Dijin is estimated to be 23-27 years old
He is a ghost/zombie. Classifying him as the undead.
Dijin is mute. He cannot speak, though he seems to understand just about every language.
Dijin has the ability to make himself solid, or non solid.
Dijin does not remember his real name.
He has severe amnesia. Though he does have flashbacks, he seems to forget them as soon as they come. However, his memory in regards to everything that happens presently seems to stay in tact.
Despite being mute, his technical instrument/sounds are Wooden Windchimes.
This sound was chosen due to the fact that his shrine/burial grounds have windchimes hung eveyrwhere.
The side of his face behind the tag is covered due to an injury. This injury was of his own presentation as his original 'form' was more graphic. He manipulated his ghostly body to direct the injury in one location to make it appear less brutal, and hide it from immediate view.
He is immune to horror mode, due to already being undead. However, he is not powerful by any means. He cannot do anything of use, or to intervene in the events of a tradgedy unless someone is dead.
He had a cat named Fortune.
He is very awkward, and somewhat anti-social and non reactive. However, he is very emotional, and easily connects to people if they learn to understand how he communicates.
Due to being able to manipulate his body, he can change his body to be any shape he really wants. However, he can't take his tag off, nor can he change his color scheme.
He has no known fears, but fire seems to make him inadvertantly have flashbacks. Which lead him to being distracted.
Should I drop more personal ocs with genuine lore, or just stick to random oc posts?
