Tom doesn’t like it when he’s dismissed. And he definitely doesn’t like feeling jealous. So he decides to do something about it. He follows him to the kitchen and fires a stunner at Harry. Harry doesn’t expect it, so it hits, and Tom rushes to catch his limp body. He picks him up and Apparates them outside of St Paul’s Cathedral. It’s the first suitable place he can think of. Tom marches into the cathedral, Confounding the guards stationed by the main entrance. There seems to be a wedding going on, which is very convenient. He looks around and notices a fire alarm on the side of the entrance. He walks past it and pulls it inconspicuously before disillusioning himself and stepping aside to wait, unconscious Harry still in his arms. He sets Harry down on an ornate wooden bench as the huge crowd starts rushing out and the cathedral fills with noises. The interrupted wedding must have been important, but maybe all weddings held in such a huge church are. It’s exactly where Tom and Harry should have theirs. Tom casts a quick Imperio on the priest and tells him to stay put. A few spells later the rest of the guards leave too, convinced that the whole building is empty. Tom locks the doors with a powerful locking spell. He picks Harry up again, carries him to the middle of the large, empty cathedral. “Wake up darling, we are getting married,” Tom greets as Harry opens his eyes. “Wha—“ Harry blinks his eyes and looks around. “Are you fucking kidding me?” “No. Come on.” “You can’t kidnap me and drag me to a fucking—what even is this place?” Harry asks as he looks up to the giant dome. “This is the most insane thing you have ever done! And you have done so much even our lives aren’t long enough to list them all!” “I’m going to marry you,” Tom states and picks up a small pebble from the floor. He transfigures it into a simple golden band. “I’ll get you a real ring later, don’t worry.” He’s going to put that ring on Harry’s finger. He needs to mark him somehow to keep those disgusting drooling men away. He wants to tattoo his name on Harry’s skin but he knows Harry wouldn't like that. “You stunned me and brought me here to— You could have just asked!” “I asked once. You said no.” “We were in school! And why do you think doing”—Harry gestures around, wildly swinging his arms—“ this is okay if I said no already?!” “Don’t be so dramatic. It’s just a silly ceremony.” Harry buries his head into his hands and sighs. “Did you… did you Imperio the priest?” he asks as he glances at the glassy eyed man in front of the altar and rubs his forehead. “Maybe,” Tom says. “It’s just a muggle,” he adds defensively. Harry rolls his eyes. “I’m not going to marry you, Tom. Definitely not like this.”
