Larissa's days were slow and each one of them was bringing new problems. She didn't know how she managed to mess everything. It must had been a talent, a very undesirable talent, especially after her last meeting with Maddie, in which she managed to banish one of her few true friends. That night, though all her instincts told her to drown her grief in alcohol, she went home and forced herself not to reach for a bottle. She had almost lost that battle when she received the first message from Jacob, and a smile spread across her lips. The doctor definitely knew how to cheer her up, and she really had a lot of fun with his drunken messages, so she was extremely surprised when he called her in the morning to apologize. She didn’t understand what the excuse was for, and she gladly agreed to see him tonight, at least to convince him that he hadn't offended her in any way, and when the time came, she passed through the nearby supermarket to get a few beers, and soon she was in front of his house, knocking on the door.
