Here is your chance to show everyone your drum solo skills. The Grand Prize winner will receive a ddrum Dios Cast Steel Snare signed and played on by Carmine Appice + you will get Carmine's signed MD catalog of books. Here are the rules of the challenge: 1. Film yourself performing a drum solo between 30 and 60 seconds max. Upload the video to MD’s Facebook page Facebook.com/moderndrummer along with your name, country, years played and a little about yourself. 2. Must be a new video filmed in 2021 and never posted on any social media channel previous to posting your solo on Modern Drummer's facebook page on the pinned post “MD 60 Sec Drum Solo Challenge”. 3. No backing tracks or click tracks, this must a be drum solo with no other music. 4. Entries are only valid between Saturday Jan 2nd and Friday January 15th, 11:59pm PST. Any videos posted beyond the cut-off date and time are not valid. 5. The top 4 liked contestant videos will advance to the finals plus the 4 judges will also select 1 contestant each to make the finals round for a total of 8 finalists. Then on a MD Pop-Up Podcast the 4 judges (including the one and only Carmine Appice) will score the 8 videos on a scale of 1-10. The video entry with the highest average score will win a ddrum Dios Cast Steel Snare, signed and played on by Carmine Appice + they will get Carmine's entire MD catalog of books all signed by Carmine! The 7 runner-ups will also receive his signed catalog of books 📚 6. The grand prize winner's video will also be featured on all MD's social media channels along with a news post on moderndrummer.com!
