EPIC THE MUSICAL SENTENCE STARTERS (ACCEPTING)
Whatever good mood she'd been in before the mission has been completely wiped out… Or close to it. It's not that she's angry at Langris for his grumpiness or his sass; she's used to it at this point. Sometimes, if not most of the time, she can tune it out.
It's not that she's an eternal optimist; as much as Kimiko tries to be chipper and upbeat, she's also human. She has her off days, just as anyone else does. Compared to Langris' more bleak outlook through? She's a proverbial ray of sunshine.
His pessimism isn't what's grating at her, but his casuality in assumption. Langris, in his mind, seems to have her pegged and to know her. The casual confidence the vice captain has in his assertions would be one thing… if they weren't always (if not nearly always) right. On both scores, it's irritating. Someone knowing you that well is one thing, but when it's someone you barely see eye to eye on anything with, it's another.
Not that she'll ever give Langris the satisfaction of hearing her say so aloud, of course.
'Whatever.' Kimiko huffs, adjusting her cloak and boots as they prepare to head off from the headquarters of the Golden Dawn. 'I've heard that the town we're heading to has the best mountain flowers and scenery, and I'm not letting you ruin it for me. So there.' If she were a little more immature, she'd stick her tongue out for good measure, but she manages to restrain herself if only barely. 'If we don't hurry, we'll be late and we wouldn't want to disappoint, would we?'
