So you know who people IRL will fetishize Gay and Lesbians couples? Well in Omegaverse I think people would do the same thing towards Alpha / Alpha or Omega / Omega couples. I just think people would ask Omega invasive questions like "who's the Alpha" or ask them really perverted stuff like asking them to make out or asking to join/watch their heats. Or just like how people who are obsessed with Yaoi in IRl would treat Alpha couples as sexual objects and not real couples and people.

Yeah dude, that totally makes sense. I feel like on top of the invasive comments you mentioned, those ideas would also be entrenched in medicine. Doctors might frown on o/o relationships because they are ~concerned~ for the omegas’ reproductive health, when really, the omegas are perfectly healthy with each other. Yknow how some sexist doctors irl will dismiss women’s requests because they have a gross, patronizing sense of entitlement to women’s bodies? That’s kinda what I’m talking about ^^^.

As for a/a relationships, you mentioned that they might be oversexualized. I wonder if people would assume a/a couples are rowdy and irresponsible, that they just need to settle down with a nice omega or a level headed beta. That might lead to discrimination against alpha couples in things like applications for an apartment, a loan, etc

I see a/a and o/o as dynamiqueer along with transdynamic because I think those relationships could be radical in many verses

trans + miscecanis intersection

There are a lot of trans people in miscecanis! Here are some reasons why I think this is:

Omegaverse does fun stuff with gender, which can make it a safe place to explore gender beyond the way our society conceives of it

The dynamic that a miscecanis person identifies with might contribute to how they understand their gender

Similarly, miscecanis gives people an opportunity to express themselves through a really cool made up system of gender. Who doesn’t want a bit of gender escapism when you are dealing with the mortifying ordeal of being known every day irl?

There is no rules or even consensus on the way that bodies are supposed to look and act in omegaverse. A person of a specific gender or dynamic could have a wildly different body, instincts, etc depending on who is writing! All bodies are great bodies, and people can be built in so many different ways and their identity are completely valid.

The popular “hiding your dynamic” trope within a/b/o can be a familiar experience to trans people who have had to hide their gender for one reason or another

Queer people, yknow how when you figure out that you’re queer and it turns out that the people you’ve been drawn to your whole life aren’t either? The queer magnetism effect— we find each other

I also want to point out that there are transgender people who also identify with being transdynamic in miscecanis. That’s really cool! Even with the ability to choose one’s dynamic, there are people who see their trans identity as part of them and being that into miscecanis. That pride in transness showing up so clearly in miscecanis makes me so proud of our community.

Presenting and dysphoria

I think that there would be a lot of nonbinary people in omegaverse because dynamics are such a big deal, but you don’t know them until you present! So a pup might grow up having a certain m/f assigned gender but really not feeling attached to it because they care about their future dynamic a lot more. Also, a lot of people might discover they’re trans after they present because the gendered combination of their primary gender and their dynamic gives them dysphoria.

Presenting could also cause euphoria!! Maybe someone is somewhat unsure of their gender, but when they present the combination of their dynamic and their gender makes them feel so euphoric :)

LGBTQ in a/b/o

I think what makes a/b/o really interesting is the way you can play with social norms, especially around gender.

In a lot of a/b/o, primary gender is less of a big deal compared to dynamics. On the other hand, stigma against alpha-alpha or omega-omega relationships might exist, and that gets into queerness in terms of dynamics. Some other things that might fall under that umbrella could be transdynamic or interdynamic (think trans/intersex but for dynamics).

I think this umbrella could be called dynamiqueer
