I've become a big fan of this concept, even though it's very much something for a crackfic. It might even inspire me to write Touhou Project fanfiction for the first time.
This series of short fanfics written by "fantasytree" –aka "egglertree"– is basically what if Marisa Kirisame –arguably Reimu Hakurei's closest friend and main incident-resolving partner and her love interest according to a sizable chunk of the fandom– became the Hakurei God, how this could even happen in the first place, and some of its consequences. You might find some small differences (mainly in the general writing style) between the first story and the next two, but this is due to said first part being written after the others as a prequel.

I wonder if one of the blogs dedicated to discussing Touhou lore & world-building would be willing to take a look at this short series and maybe propose their own way to implement either this or some other at-first-glance silly idea in the Touhou universe.
