EVENT — 001: Welcome to Hiraeth Academy (June 27th - ??)
As Hiraeth Academy opens its doors and welcomes a new class of students, preparations are in full swing for the school’s first social event of the year. Following the orders of the Headmistress, the staff and faculty of Hiraeth have already been working tirelessly towards the annual Welcoming Ceremony, which is followed by an evening of dancing and light-hearted fun. This is an event that will allow new and old students to get acquainted, while ensuring everyone has an easier transition into life at Hiraeth.
The dress code for the event is formal attire, of course, though a wide selection of clothing has been provided for every student. Upon entering one’s dormitory on the day of the event, one would find a familiar person waiting for them. Standing at the ready to tackle his assignment will be Hiraeth Academy’s own secretary, Fideli Celyth. Or, more accurately, a clone of him will be standing at the ready. After a short assessment, the secretary will magically apply an appropriate outfit to your person before disappearing entirely. How magical! What’s even more exciting is that the outfit is enchanted entirely, so it will never stain or get damaged -- not to mention, it will stay on you until the end of the event. Marvelous!
The Grand Hall will be decorated for this event with a winter theme surrounding it, as is expected of an academy made of crystal and ice. The room has been enchanted so that no one may leave after entering, so as to keep those pesky antisocial students right where they are supposed to be. Food and drink will be supplied, with food from various different worlds being prepared to make students feel at home. Light, classical music native to Hiraeth will also be played by the school orchestra -- which is, for lack of better terms, simply an enchanted set of musical instruments that are kept tucked off to one side.
Also making an appearance on the night of will be the school’s Headmistress. She has graciously invited those from the surrounding village to the ball as well, as a show of good faith towards those that remain under her rule. The night promises to be an eventful and entertaining one, so long as you are seeking to be entertained.

This event will begin on Wednesday, June 27th! That means, in less than two days we will be announcing the start of this event. Further details for the welcome event will be released on the starting date. We encourage all of our current and future members to participate, as the event currently does not have a cut-off date for the time being! Please, refrain from posting about the event until the official starting post has been shared on June 27th. Thank you!
