I can't THINK about the state of things without feeling so...#helpless about it #like as much as I joke about it... it's the idea of knowing that the people least responsible for what is going to happen in 30 or 40 years #from now... or sooner #are the people that will suffer the most from it #and sometimes I look at the world and wonder how it'll look in a few decades from now and like... I dunno... I get this overwhelming sense #of like GRIEF from it... because what will this world be?? If I ever have children will the world be wildly different for them #like... there are CHILDREN leading the plea for action on climate change meanwhile the actual people in charge do NOTHING #we're literally just BEGGING them to do something at this point and nothing ever changes #like... if they don't do something RIGHT NOW we're so fucked #and it makes me ... SO SAD!!#like... I don't understand the sheer greed and narcissism and lack of empathy that some politicians have towards the people they're supposed #to be protecting #LIKE!!#And at this point... what can you DO?!?!! like what can you actually do?? A #At marches and protests they scream This is what democracy looks like but it's NOT #if this was a democracy they would LISTEN to their people but all they do is turn a blind eye to it #how the FUCK do they SLEEP at night??#I am so genuinely tired and full of this weird sense of helplessness when it comes to looking towards the future... like #when you really think about it... when you stop being naive and actually THINK about it... they're fucking killing us #like...
