So I’m currently close to the painting stage of the construction of my current model build of Airfix’s Phantom FG.1 however I’m already looking ahead to the next project...a certain angry cat awaits her escape from the box! Really can’t wait to build the IRIAF F-14A soon but I want to work on one project at a time!

11 May 1969. 892 Naval Air Squadron F-4K Phantom XT859 set a world airspeed record between Floyd Bennet Naval Air Station, New York to Wisley Aerodrome, Surrey in 4 hrs. 46 mins., winning the Daily Mail Trans-Atlantic Air Race. Refuelled by a Handley Page Victor tanker.
