They say ofmd fandom is dead, but I still see a lot of folks posting about it, making fanarts and fics.
If the fandom isn't making much noise, like Marvel, that doesn't mean that fandom is dead. You just did your research poorly.

Where You Post: Ao3
Most Popular Multi-Chapter Story: The Great Eli and Thrawn Prank War that was a co-authored is the most popular. That was a lot of fun but it was amazing how much my brain kept trying to make me think that I couldn’t be proud of it. Which is dumb but yay brains. Cinnamon Rolls is the most popular of the stories that I wrote by myself.
Favorite Story You Wrote: Probably Cinder-Eli I love fairy tales and I love how it turned out. I couldn’t stop writing it until it was done. I would be driving somewhere and the characters kept going “Oh, and I do this next!” But I had to keep driving and not write.
How You Choose Your Titles: Sometimes through a lot of throwing things up and seeing if they work and sometimes they just are obvious. There is no inbetween
Do You Outline: Not usually. For Cinnamon Rolls I have a rough outline because it was an idea that exploded.
Complete: (Stories? this wasn’t as obvious to me) 14 Though one of the WIPs is a silly fic about two old ladies reading fics so I honestly could end it whenever. Also, trying to put a number on this is odd as some are rather short and others are much longer.
Coming Soon/Not Yet Started: AU with QuiObi and Thranto. So the Empire didn’t happen but they did end up with a Navy, Thrawn is rather grumpy at having to work with these jedi, Eli is trying to keep everything running, Qui-Gon keeps wandering off to follow “the will of the Force” and Obi-Wan just wants a mission to go smoothly for once. Technically, I wrote a little drabble in this AU but I would like to write an actual story.
Do You Accept Prompts: Yes! Gram Marge and Auntie Carol was sorta a prompt (a discussion turned into a joke that I ended up writing) and The Grey and Red Shark Man was a direct prompt.
Upcoming Story You are Most Excited to Write: Nothing right now. Been struggling with mental health and gave myself permission to stop writing for a while. Silly things and prompts have been the easiest to write. If I had to pick something it would probably by the Thranto Aladdin fic as I can see where I want to go with it but it is being stubborn.
I don’t like tagging people for this type of thing but feel free to join in!
The thing about getting kind of old for social media's idea of "Fandom" is that I was genuinely worried for a while in my 20s that there wouldn't be enough people my age or younger to keep fandom going, moving forward.
I still worry about that a little - the hospitality-style fan-run cons are nowhere near as popular in most places as the market-style industry-run ComiCon type events. But the hospitality cons DO still exist, and there are even some that are as successful in scope as the big industry ones.
Logging in and seeing all these "kids" clearly invested in fandom, for all that it sometimes make me facepalm at the lack of awareness of fannish history, and established communities, reassures me that, whatever else we can say about it:
FANDOM LIVES! <3
Hello! I’m recently returned to the Star Wars fandom after two literal decades away. I was never that prolific a writer and anything I wrote before is likely long since lost to the internet aether, but that didn’t stop a new story from taking hold in my brain. I have been struggling somewhat to find a beta/writing encouragement. I joined a Quiobi Discord server but haven’t been able to connect with a beta yet. I also recently found out there’s more than one Quiobi server (who knew?) I’m told you’re the person to ask for an invitation. If you’re accepting new members I would love to join—hopefully to keep me motivated to write but at the very least because I love to osmose those Quiobi vibes. Thank you very kindly. 😀
Hello! There are indeed a couple of QuiObi servers in the wild! Welcome back to the fandom, you've found the right place! We do indeed accept new members and it will be my pleasure to welcome you. I'll DM you the invitation link and hopefully we'll see you soon!
Hi there, is the quiobi server still going and if so could I have an invite please?
Hello! Yes the server is still going, we would be happy to have you. DM me for a link!
hi, is the quiobi discord still active? the previous link has expired
Hello there. Yes the discord is still active. You can DM for a link !
HERE COME THE POLLS
To celebrate finally getting polls, here's my question :
As a fanfic reader do you read :
WIP
Sorry I read completed works only
I'm interested in knowing how many people in fandom only read completed works vs the one who are ok with WIP.
