How tf do you recognize the old man from seeing him as a kid like... once? Waid, DID Jethel ever see the slave boys? I don't think he did.

Because Winnowill is the only villain, apparently. No one is allowed to be a villain without having ties to her.

Honestly, this story wasn't too bad. If all of Fire Eye were more like this I wouldn't hate it so much.

Vi rereads Elfquest, Fire-Eye #19 & 20

Looks like Ge-O'ke got the bangs Jethel left behind. Also, his ears are normal again. What does he even do? Why is he here? Why would his investors from the port town be interested in here?

Oh hey, it's that mysterious human from Forevergreen that we never learned anything about. Maybe we'll get some answers now that-- what was that? Oh, the series is over now, you say?

Welp.

Clearly it all went well with no conflicting plots and everything made perfect sense in the end. *cough*

Ugh. I just cant with Blair stories. Why was he one of the few New Blood people to stick around? Why did he stay employed so long? It's just. So. Bad.

I will be reading that Worldpool one next, just so the Blair stuff is out of the way and done with. (Except, I think, a couple Windkin stories? But I'm going to read those closer to Final Quest.)

Dodia, your memory is bad. Jethel and Suntop got separated from the group before the fire, and Chot stayed with you until after Door was taken out. And... I'm pretty sure you entered the palace, so like.... you being here is entirely on you.

Yeah, Chot never told you that, I suppose. And you can absolutely leave. Dewshine left Tyldak. It can be done.

Overly large flute has string on it now. You're doing great at not being noticed. Play a little louder.

What the heck does Chot know about Two-Spear?

Motive and plot! But like.... if these are supposed to be the Hoangtsho... um, was this guy somehow Aramak's kid? But not Ge-o'ke? Who were the demons? Who was the chief? Who cares! Drama! We don't need the plot to make sense if it's ~*dramatic!*~

It's a child! A child that is probably 28ish years old! Unless Dodia Recognized Door a second time I guess. In which case, where's the first kid?

Vi rereads Elfquest, Fire-Eye #16

I do wish she had more depth than "I wanna be immortal and I'm going to take it from the elf somehow, even though I have no actual idea how to do it, or even if it can be done."

Like, what back story does she have? She was married to Ahnn-Li, but maybe only to get close to Jethel? Somehow?

Why does she want immortality? At least Aramak had reasons. At the very least, give her the "I'm afraid of wrinkles and aging" mania that some villains get. But no. Her sole motivation is immortality. Because reasons.

Anyway, kind of a clever solution, but executed poorly. Would have been funnier if they played it off like he was willing to give her immortality, and had to do a ritual for it, and she believed him, and then the wrapstuff. But oh well

How did Cam get another ship? And oh yes, let's get revenge on the child who had very little choice, by making him a servant. Great job.

Does she love?? Does she???? Seems like she just takes advantage of. Just because she doesn't beat the children up does not make her a good caretaker. (The bar is on the literal floor.) And what is her plan now anyway for "her" town? She wasn't exactly in a position to take over when the two leaders got out of the way. I have a feeling that the town isn't going to just follow an old crazy lady who takes in the overflowing population of abused children.

You know what? Whatever. Jethel is leaving his tribe that he made to her, so I guess it doesn't matter. Who cares about the children. Moving on to the next story arc.

....... Chot, have you met Kahvi? Also, you lived under her chieftanship for like..... a couple weeks? At best? And you betrayed her for Zey. Like, bro.

What's with the pipe playing? Did he make that himself? Did he teach himself how to play? Did he realize it really doesn't need to be that long?

Yeah, I meant to comment about that. What's with Blair and building up a villain, only for that villain to unceremoniously just get killed off all pathetic-like, while accomplishing basically nothing, only to be replaced by someone else?

Cam... you seem to have gained a lot of weight, and are aging again.

This kid has never met Chot. Unless the word bubble is supposed to be pointing to Pei-Lar...

Your town.

Your town was the place in the Forevergreen that YOU burned down. Why are you even here, anyway? Out of all places, you made it to the same place Ahn-Lai and Jethel made it to.

This character's role could have been a rando and the story would not be any different. Why did it have to be her specifically?

She doesn't look at Chot that way though. You'd think she'd be super excited for TWO spirits to get immortality from.

I like that at least one of these people is smart.

But like, every single child appears to be the clumsiest creature on earth. Blair has some... ideas about children.

Yeah, "oh no." That boy's arm is clearly broken. Bad art Blair. Even worse than usual.

Even Chot's going for the child abuse. Goodie.

I'm pretty sure all the hounds got taken a few issues back.

Wait, Jooka's been a boy this whole time?? There is one single girl child in this entire city, and all the rest are boys, apparently.

An abandoned storeroom? Does this place not have jail cells?

Vi rereads Elfquest, Fire-Eye #10 & 11

When I first read through this, I was like, they are contradicting even last issues stuff. And they got that treehouse built fast. And there's a lot more kids now... oh, it's a dream.

But now, know it's a dream, it's like, how does this kid know some of this stuff? Is he psychic, or does the author just not check who knows what before putting it in? (Hint: it's likely the latter.)

Okay, like... how many kids are in this town? And how many of them have no family to speak of? And what kind of town is this that has so many kids all around the same age that they just decide need to be abused?

Whatever, onto the next issue.

And Chot's just here now, with no explanation. No one is surprised. No one is like, who's this new elf person? And he's already being belittled. Fun!

Kid wasn't even doing anything this time. Just standing there, and oh, gotta abuse them!
