FULL ON RANT INCOMING... IF YOU DON'T WANNA BE FAN RAGED THEN JUST STOP READING... seriously, I sound like a brat. I keep seeing P4D news and I can't help but to feel angry... what has ther series turned to? We first get two pointless fighting games that had a good story until Ultimax screwed it up, a Nayrly rip-off in a game called P4 that centered around the guys from P3. P4G that added such a pointless and meaningless tacked on character for no reason just to explain a tacked on goddess. PQ actually looks good. Now we get a freaking dancing game that Hashino keeps saying "oh it has a story" as if it's going to be a revolutionary plot in the series, adding good stuff we couldn't expect like Kanami being the goddess Lakshmi just to explain the freaking dance. What revolutionary stuff could this game actually put? Can't think of anything really. I understand why they made the game, Persona music is good, from 1 to Q, Persona music is awesome but when I saw people wanting a rhythm I always thought like a Theathrhythm kinda game with ALL Persona music and not just P4 (and possibly P3) and I still see people excited for the game... saying "more P4 story, nice" without realizing that these characters have nowhere else to go... what more characterization can they have since they can't backtrack like in Arena where all P4 kept dealing with their issues for some reason. We went from fighting inside a dream world, fighting humankind's shadow, human's death wishes and humans wishes to live in lies (which is already kinda watered down in comparison imo) to fighting the corrupted shards of the human soul and mind... by busting dance moves while Izanagi plays the guitar.... whatever man. Keep doing whatever you want with this wonderful series Hashino... I don't give a damn anymore... the series don't look like they even are going with the concept of Persona anymore as they are just teaching morals. Ever since P4 I haven't seen any kind of new concept to the Persona lore in-game... nothing... it re-used concepts from the previous titles and other stuff like... a talking bear... glasses... a girl that sucks at poetry... and a crap-ton of filler events... and yet it became the most popular one. The cast barely talk about the power of Persona and when they do they repeat the same phrase they said 2 or 3 hours ago... and it became the most popular one. The characters (again, with the exception of Kanji, Naoto, Nanako and Dojima) aren't even that good as everyone says, they are very immature, weak willed and they depend on a bowl shaped grey haired womanizer to be the pillar that holds them up... they get their Ultimate Personas thanks to him, they never tried to reach any sort of enlightment to deserve them... AND IT'S THE MOST POPULAR GAME IN THE FREAKING SERIES. In P1 we at least needed moral choises to get Ultimate Personas, IS you needed the masks, EP you needed to fuse them and in P3 they got them on their own. We don't even see characters from P1 and P2... not even a fan-service aniversary game like PQ... nothing... I'm really getting depressed with Hashino's decisions in the series and utterly apathetic by this point that I don't even expect anything to actually interest me in the slightest... SMT takes 10 years to get a new title, Persona which is one of my favourite series is getting dumb, dull, meaningless and lacking with almost nothing to do with the concept it's supposed to represent and the plots getting stupid and stupid each time. Might as well kill myself... My god... I went full on hate towards a series I love and I already feel bad about it. I haven't slept all night... If I offended any of you I apologize...
