                                          “ ah-- um ... r- rather than staring, can you please help me ... ? a- and please don’t ask ... ”    ( ... i feel like a circus act ... )  fingers wriggle against the restraints that tied her to the tree. tight and unforgiving, it was a classic punishment. not as severe as some of them, but still enough to be grate and cause irritability to bubble forth. she knows that the one who’d done this was in hiding, watching as their punishment played out. yui was never so lucky as to get away that easily.

❛ e-excuse  me... ❜  ezra  stuttered,  avoiding  immediate  eye  contact.  he  was  already  embarrassed  enough  by  the  situation.  he  was  just  trying  to  get  to  the  aisle  with  his  favorite  energy  drink  quickly  and  get  out...  he  just  had  to  round  the  corner  much  too  fast  and  knock  someone  over.  he  held  out  his  hand.   ❛  are  you  alright?  ❜

           THE WORLD TURNS sideways for a moment,  the papers within his hands slip out  &  he stumbles.  (  no,  not yet,  he thinks he says,  he still has things to do.  )  a hand to his forehead,  &  he doesn’t curse  ---  not yet,  but the words are formed  &  shaped,  but he refuses to breathe life into them.

          ❝  Not  ---  ❞  not now,  is what he means to say,  but then he’ll drop to a knee  &  wait for the world to stop spinning.  (  his body isn’t hot.  all he has to do is that enough to make it go away.  )

🎀🎀🎀🎀🎀🎀🎀🎀🎀 yui fell asleep in class again n nobuki decided to tie like 20 bows in her hair while she was asleep /: DSANKJSDL

                                       “ fuwaah … d- did i … miss anything … ? ”  sleepy murmurs as her head lifted. there’s a gentle panic settled in her chest ( however, she is very glad that the teacher hadn’t seen– usually she would have been caught ! ) she blinks the sleep from her eyes and huffs to herself. a glance at nobuki and she can’t even remember what it had been she was learning. hell, she’d even drooled on her notebook ! ( how embarrassing !! ) only when she tries to frantically clean up the tiny ( barely there ! ) puddle does one of the bows suddenly flutter from the wisps of her hair.

… how did that even get there … ? the look upon her face– filled with confusion and as if the object is alien. she didn’t remember putting bows into her hair. reaching up, she pats ! pats ! pats some more ! how many are there, really ?! ( and where had they even come from ? ) the only culprit, the one she doesn’t trust– NOBUKI !

“ … n- nobuki-kun, really … ? ”  her voice attracts the attention of the teacher. not a good thing for the small human, as one thing leads to another and eventually ? detention for komori yui. not only for having been noisily ( despite whispering. ) interrupting class, but being an obstruction and distraction with the many bows in her hair– TYPICAL.

                                                  PUT BOWS IN YUI’S HAIR !! , accepting !!

                              fingers fidget, tugging upon the sleeves of her shirt.  PALE SKIN LIKE PAPER MACHE  inviting the cold in as she stands outside the school. this was where they were to meet after all, right ? yet, time feels as if it’s  s l i p p i n g  along in slow motion, seconds slowing to minutes and she feels herself looking up toward the clock. yui decided to show earlier than the designated time. her own anxieties become restless and swell greater than usual. ah--  WHAT IF IT WAS ALL A JOKE ? she truly hopes that is not the case ! YUI WON’T ADMIT IT-- won’t explain exactly why, but ... she’d even gone so far as to style her hair differently, and apply mascara best she could ... even her clothes. small shoes scuff upon worn cement desperate effort to find distraction. why she chose to believe that they were to meet here, she doesn’t know ... HOPEFULNESS, MAYBE ? that which normally burns bright in such large, doll-like features ? hopeful for what, she doesn’t understand !  “ haa-- p- please hurry ... i’m starting to feel a little cold ... ”  and insecure. all her own fault as she chose to arrive much earlier than planned. a gentle bounce on her feet and she finally decides to take a seat upon the nearest wooden bench.

His  hand  only lingered on the other’s  shoulder long enough to make  sure that she could stand on her own.  The big city was  so different in comparison  to  Inaba,  and  he almost  forgot how busy  these  streets can  be.  Eyes looked  down the  street where  the careless driver  had sped  off, before falling on  the girl he had just pulled out of harm’s way. His expression was comforting and assuring, for he could only imagine the fear one would feel so close to on coming traffic.
