Day 24-Customers/Feedback. When I first came up with the idea for the Society of Curious Creatures I wasn’t really sure how people would react to it. It was quirky and odd and quite honestly I thought I was going to get strange looks and maybe that would be it. But the more I talked about it, to pretty much strangers, the more I realized that it wasn’t just an absurdity. It’s really quite something to see someones eyes light up when they hear one of my stories, or do a double take and stop to see what is going on at this booth with all the wooden things. What’s even more flattering is to have someone return to my booth and have them tell me a story about a piece they’ve bought from me and where it is now. This matchbox curio was bought by a lovely woman for her grandson who loves dinosaurs. I’ve seen her a few times over the years and she’s even brought her grandson by for me to meet him. I can tell she is just as in love with the idea of this world as her grandson is.
