Ok so I love Gwen, right, even when she isn’t one of my Favorites. But I’m still annoyed for her especially in the later seasons.

Because we know Gwen and Arthur have to get together purely bc of the legends but it feels like that was her whole character arc. She was only on screen when talking to Arthur or about him in some way. She had her thing with Lancelot, sure, all well and good if not just a bit annoying but I love her so it’s fine. But then after she marries Arthur and…… we never see her again?? It’s like they spend less time together than when they were supposedly not even supposed to be seeing each other. I can remember two scenes where she’s in their bedroom and one where they’re eating dinner together. That’s it.

And she also just magically knew how to lead, she was super confident and wise all the time (not that I didn’t love that but like, cmon. The girl that was constantly backtracking and biting her lip is suddenly super cool and confident out of the blue?). I would have loved to see a little scene with maybe Arthur or someone teaching her some things about ruling even if it was just grain reports and taxes. Especially since after the finale she has to do that all by herself now (and was supposedly running the kingdom when Arthur was off risking his life, again). Like, where did she come by this knowledge and confidence and where can I get some?

Anyway this is a long winded way of saying they wrapped up Gwen’s character way too soon and I think she should have been way more involved in the narrative
