The fact that the app was just releasing updates about season 2 just proves how out of left field this must have come to the people working behind the scenes. They must have been blindsided by this decision.
Genuinely fuck Disney. Absolutely gutted for the writers, animators, and everyone who works at Fogbank. For your hard work and the amazing journeys you’ve taken us on through your stories, you deserved so much better.
Well 2020 sure has continued to deliver on its promise of being even worse than 2019. Yet another fantastic company of incredible creatives facing a shutdown due to Disney and not meeting their “standards” of profitable, a company (Disney), it saddens me to say, has increasingly shown that they put money over art.
I am just so glad that I downloaded this app on a whim back when Fogbank first launched it. The choice-based stories and characters this special team of creatives gave us were so captivating, I found myself so emotional invested in the characters that I felt what they did as I painstaking made choices hoping they were the right ones. Even than, I played through the stories several times not being able to disconnect from these characters. Its heartbreaking that this team is being shutdown since it was evident that they put their hearts and souls into these stories and the stories that were still to come. We know your worth and we the fans value you! We all hope this is not the end put merely a pause. Thank you for everything.

im soo confused about storyscape
The studio that produces Storyscape is shutting down.
Basically Disney offloaded FoxNext to another mobile game developer but Fogbank (the developer behind SS) was not included in the deal.
The app didn't make a big enough impact through downloads and profit, not to mention Disney probably had no interest in it in the first place.
