GENDERLOST :: An identity in which the individual feels as though one 's gender is lost or gone in some way . This can be through a lot of methods , like trauma or general dysphoria . This is different from being genderless , agender , or unlabelled , as genderlost individuals may have a distinct feeling that one should have a gender, but have somehow lost or misplaced it or that it was stolen from them . Genderlost individuals might find a gender through physical transition , label-hunting , or just through discovering one's own gender identity . Some genderlost individuals may never find a gender , or feel as though finding a gender is not necessary for one's own self-fulfillment . Individuals who use the genderlost label may use other gender labels along with this label , and may or may not feel as though those labels fit the individual .
Genderlost is not a xenogender or hypergender but rather a state of being - it can be treated like a gender label or like a general identity .
