Okay so I try to keep my negativity to myself but hoyoverse has done something that truly pissed me off. So during the 6.1 update they decided they were going to quietly update the devices that could use genshin. And now tons of people are trying to login(including myself) and can't. The app either won't open at all or just quits after the compiling shaders gets to 100%. Hoyo's only advice was to "just use another device". WHAT THE FUCK I don't have the couple hundred to drop on another device nor do others. I play on mobile and my phone isn't that old. It was made in 2023 for God's sake. Additionally my phone had no issues running genshin sure I had to run the graphics a little lower but it was smooth.
From what I've heard it's the powervr GPU(graphics processing unit) that they've stopped supporting. This GPU is often found in budget friendly phones. Idk what counts as budget friendly but I know my phone was almost $300. High end phones typically cost $700+ and PlayStations, Xbox, and PCs are all $500+.
I love genshin and all but I simply cannot drop that kinda money on something for a single game. I have found a work around with genshin cloud but the play quality is abysmal. I only get 15 minutes of playtime per day free. Nowadays the archon quests are 6+ hours with little to no breaks. And that's not counting lore events, exploration, and endgame content. Not to mention it automatically gives you the best visuals and focuses on those instead of running smoothly. So it lags like crazy. Overall I'm not very pleased.
