how meticulously does my muse look after their physical appearance? do they spend a lot of time on their hair, makeup, grooming, and clothing? is there a particular reason why they do or don’t?
answered here ! i’ll add though that abbacchio is also incredibly insistent upon fixing himself up when he’s ruined his look. he practically repaints his nails daily, if they start to chip or are stained with blood from his work. he keeps a compact mirror on his person always to adjust when need be. he hates feeling gross, makes him more self conscious of the fact he always feels like he’s stained in blood, and so he tries to stay fresh as much as he can. when he showers, or washes his hands, the water is scalding hot for the same reason.
how would my muse describe their childhood? how much has it impacted the person they are now, or will become as an adult? around what age did they or will they start to mature, and why? do they wish to go back to their days as a child, or have they embraced adulthood?
if asked about his childhood, abbacchio is most likely to shrug and grunt, fine. and, really, it’s not wholly inaccurate. he knows, especially among his teammates, he’s one of the luckier ones to even have had a relatively normal life prior to fucking it up. he spent his childhood in the north end of boston, in the states, before moving back to naples when he was entering high school. his mother, carlotta, was stubborn, fiery, opinionated --- but she loved her son, understood him better than anyone, would tell him how proud she was of him even after being sent home for punching a bully in the face. then, there was his father, rafaello. he was ... present.
“he’s an intense guy,” abbacchio would say, but ‘intense’ doesn’t quite explain how the man would use scare tactics to keep leone in line, how it kept the boy quiet, until the last couple of years of school, when he’d argue back. their relationship is not a good one, and it’s the very reason why, after his dismissal from the police force, abbacchio never visited home again. his self-loathing is too great for him to put up with his father’s inevitable disappointment. he’s content to cut off ties with his father, but he does regret not even saying goodbye to his mother.
if asked, abbacchio would say that he “grew up” after his partner died, but he’s always behaved (mostly) maturely. even with such a traumatic event behind him, there’s certainly something freeing to him about adulthood --- enough, at least, that he can’t really even fathom ever being a kid again. he’d tell you that little leone was a shithead, anyway.
which of the four seasons suits my muse best, and why?
partly answered here, but i will elaborate a bit more and say that though he’s best suited to spring, and perhaps even summer, he really will claim he prefers the winter. he’s pretty naturally cold, but he tolerates it pretty well, too. he likes the aesthetic of a wintery night, and 'tis the season to wear black to absorb the sunlight. in truth, he hates the summer. too hot. makes him sweaty, makes him feel gross. he complains when he’s hot.
