their friendship may be questionable. vesper is always the one bugging jiwon, but now they are paired with one another for a school project that vesper cannot afford to get any low points or he’ll never hear the end of it from his father. (and he would much rather not deal with an angry father at that) it’s already bad enough that vesper is working with a vampire, but he never really cared for it. it’s just annoying to hear his father go on and on about how wolves are not to work with vampires and all that — bullshit.
vesper puts down the little screw he was working with and when jiwon states ‘i’m very uncomfortable right now.’ vesper lets out a little sigh when the screw falls as he sets down his screwdriver and turns his attention to jiwon. he doesn’t say anything just yet, only looks at jiwon and normally vesper would be commenting something, his usual remarks to bring up a bicker and to visibly annoy jiwon with his presence and just. “uncomfortable as in.. like, with that one dude that wouldn’t leave you alone or is it something else?”
things are.. weird. all his life, he’s been told nothing of wolves aside from the ‘fact’ that they eat garbage and smell worse. now, he’s not only been partnered with one for a project, but he’s also friends with one. perhaps that’s too far of a leap, too strong a term. maybe they fall somewhere between acquaintances and proper friends. they more than tolerate each other, but they don’t spend nights or study at each other’s places. but jiwon can’t identify a word to appropriately encapsulate this limbo they’re in, so— friends.
sighing softly, jiwon picks up both the fallen screw and screwdriver, then swiftly secures the former. it’s a weird project, incredibly befitting of their eccentric teacher, and jiwon sort of hates it. they’ve been given a box of random bits in a variety of materials and told to make something of the mess. every piece has to be used, and whatever the end product is, it has to serve some kind of purpose. which is precisely the kind of project jiwon loathes. he needs numbered instructions, rubrics, and guidelines to follow so he can get every last point. this is just.. chaos. madness. nonsense. “this project doesn’t make any sense. i don’t know what i’m doing, and i hate that.”
